Overview: |
The Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt is a one-day program that builds the essential foundations of Lean thinking and problem-solving. Designed for team members, supervisors, and emerging leaders, this course develops practical skills to improve safety, quality, and communication within your organisation. What sets this program apart is our proven approach to embedding training for sustainable results. Every Yellow Belt participant benefits from pre-event coaching, which aligns leaders and attendees before the workshop, and post-event coaching, which supports the transfer of learning back into the workplace. This ensures that skills are not just learned, but applied and sustained — driving meaningful and lasting improvement. Participants learn how to apply key Lean tools — such as Root Cause Analysis and Daily Huddle Systems — to real workplace challenges. By the end of the course, they will not only understand Lean principles but also be equipped to identify problems, implement effective countermeasures, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. The program concludes with a short assessment and practical submission, leading to Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification. |

By the end of this program, participants will be able to:
Understand the importance of standardisation in Lean.
Apply quality management principles to daily work.
Use Root Cause Analysis (RCA) tools to effectively solve problems.
Establish an effective Daily Huddle System to strengthen communication and teamwork.
When you attend our in-house Yellow Belt training, you don’t just learn theory — you apply it directly to your own workplace challenges. Because the training is delivered within your organisation, examples, discussions, and exercises are tailored to your context, making the learning more relevant, practical, and immediately actionable. Participants leave not only with new skills, but also with a clear plan for how to put them into practice.
But our support doesn’t stop there. As part of our commitment to embedding learning for sustainable results, we also partner with organisations through:
Consulting Services – We work alongside your leaders and teams to design and implement Lean systems that drive lasting improvements in safety, quality, and performance.
Kaizen Blitz Events – These focused, rapid improvement workshops bring people together to solve pressing problems in just a few days. By combining structured Lean tools with team-based problem solving, Kaizen Blitz events deliver measurable results quickly while building confidence and capability within your teams.
This blended approach of training, coaching, consulting, and facilitated improvement ensures your organisation builds a strong, sustainable culture of excellence.
When you join the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt program, you’ll gain much more than a one-day workshop. Every participant receives:
Pre-event coaching for both attendees and their leaders to align expectations and ensure workplace relevance.
One full day of interactive training (onsite or virtual), combining practical exercises, group discussions, and real-world examples.
Hands-on application of tools, including Root Cause Analysis and Daily Huddle design, to bridge the gap between knowing and doing.
Workshop materials — digital or printed guides, templates, and tools you can take back to your workplace.
Post-event coaching and support to embed systems, sustain improvements, and help attendees apply learning in their roles.
Certification assessment, including a short quiz and submission of one RCA report, leading to your optional Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification with Cardiff University LCS (additional charge)
This comprehensive package ensures participants not only learn the tools but also apply them effectively, creating sustainable results for themselves and their organisation.
There are no prerequisites for this workshop. This Yellow Belt acts as a prerequisite for the Green Belt workshop.
